Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Desmok collects through this website, its forms and its AI assistant, why we collect it, who processes it for us, and the rights you have over it.

Last updated: 3 November 2026

1. Who we are

This website (www.desmok.com) is run by Desmok, an AI product engineering and automation studio based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. In this policy, “Desmok”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to us. For data protection purposes, we decide how and why the personal data described here is used.

If you have a question about this policy or your data, email hello@desmok.com.

2. Data we collect

Information you send through our forms

The quote form, the Contact page form and the Engagement models page form ask for:

  • your full name;
  • your company or project name (optional);
  • your email address;
  • your phone number and country code (optional);
  • the service you are interested in;
  • a budget range (optional);
  • your project details, in your own words.

If you email us directly, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach.

Messages you type into the AI assistant

The “Ask Desmok” assistant receives the messages you type, together with the earlier messages in the same conversation, so that it can answer in context. These messages are sent to a third-party AI model provider, which processes them to generate the reply. We do not store assistant conversations on our own servers, but the AI model provider handles them under its own terms. Please do not share sensitive information in the assistant, such as passwords, financial details, health information or other people’s personal data.

Technical data

When you visit the site, our hosting provider and the content delivery networks that serve the site automatically receive technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the date and time of the request. This appears in standard server logs and is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and limit abuse (for example, the assistant limits how many messages can be sent from one IP address in a short period).

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and this website does not set cookies.

3. How we use your data

  • To reply to your enquiry and continue the conversation you started.
  • To prepare a quote or proposal for the work you describe.
  • To answer your questions through the AI assistant.
  • To run, secure and improve the website, including preventing spam and abuse.

We do not use your data for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

We process your data because you have chosen to send it to us and asked us to respond (your consent, and steps taken at your request before entering into a contract), and, for technical data, because we have a legitimate interest in running a secure website. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us; this does not affect processing that has already taken place.

4. Who processes your data for us

We use a small number of service providers to run this website. They process personal data on our behalf and only for the purposes described here:

  • Web3Forms receives what you submit through our forms and delivers it to our inbox by email.
  • Vercel hosts this website and the AI assistant, and processes the technical data described above.
  • A third-party AI model provider processes the messages you type into the AI assistant to generate replies.
  • jsDelivr, a content delivery network, serves the animation library used on the site, so your IP address and browser details are visible to it when a page loads.
  • Our email provider stores the enquiries and emails we receive.

Our fonts are hosted on our own website, so no font service receives your data.

5. Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Apart from the service providers listed above, we only share personal data when the law requires it, to protect our legal rights, or with your permission.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers store or process data outside India and outside your own country, for example in the United States. Where data is transferred, we rely on the provider’s own safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) and on the transfer being permitted under the law that applies to you.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to respond to you and, if we work together, for the length of our relationship and any period afterwards that the law requires for accounting, tax or legal purposes. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider. When data is no longer needed, we delete it.

8. Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023

If the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies to you, you have the right to:

  • access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
  • have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected, and outdated data updated;
  • have your data erased when it is no longer needed, or withdraw your consent;
  • have your grievances addressed by us, and then by the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied;
  • nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to do so.

For visitors in the UK and the European Union

If the UK GDPR or the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, you have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.

How to use your rights

Email hello@desmok.com with your request. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it, and we will reply within the time the applicable law allows.

9. Children

This website is meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to this website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website or the services we use change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.

12. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of India, without affecting any rights you have under the data protection law of the country where you live.

13. Contact

For any question about this policy or your personal data, email hello@desmok.com. Desmok, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. See also our Terms of Use.
